Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Project/contract management and project claims across numerous projects.
  • A team of project managers and other Core Team functional members.
  • Being the escalation point on critical functional Topics on a number of projects.
  • Looking after customer Interfaces on their projects within a product Line context during project execution.
  • Responsible for the product line, focusing on contractual obligations & stakeholder commitments.
  • Completing project reviews in line with customer milestones.
  • Contribute to the product line bid (including the preparation & approval process/hand-over process).
  • Responsible for the performance of numerous projects, including Technical, Operational & Financials, along with any escalation on critical topics.
  • Responsible for core team governance, routines, meetings & reviews.
  • Project cash/sales management & contract margin improvement.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • 10+ Years experience of Project Management within Rolling stock and/or Degree qualification in the relevant subject.
  • PRINCE2 or APM qualified.
  • Excellent knowledge of key project management principles including Programme, change and risk management, and Business acumen.
  • Experience with Commercial/contracts with legal awareness.
  • Ability to efficiently organise work load.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.

  • 6 - 12 month fixed term or inside IR35 contract
  • Salary/rate – depending on experience
