Company:

Our client is a successful Rail contractor on a large rail contract in Central Scotland. They have a major push on a busy project and require an experienced OLE Project Engineer to drive the project forward whilst assisting the CRE with his on site duties.

Responsibilities:

• Management of OLE construction
• Assist Contractors Responsible Engineer
• Advise the Project Manager on the engineering resource required to deliver the project plan, and provide engineering review of the method statements and risk assessments proposed for the work
• Ensure that up to date records of all aspects of individual projects are maintained and are available for audit purposes
• Carry out and record briefings of technical updates to the project team, including sub-contractors, promote best practice and pro-actively identify to resource owners additional training requirements and development opportunities
• Carry out regular site inspections to monitor progress and check quality of installation making sure ITP''S are correctly completed
• Provide sufficient site support to the project team (Project Manager, site supervisors, resource providers and sub-contractors) throughout the works to ensure that critical engineering decisions can be made in a timely manner and that issues arising can be dealt with to ensure compliance with a minimum of re-work
• Lead and manage the engineering disciplines

Requirements:

• Project management experience, ideally within the OLE railway industry
• Thorough understanding of CRE duties and able to implement these when required
• Valid PTS
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support as required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Full driving licence and vehicle
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel to different locations if required
