Long term contractual position offering up to £400 per day

A well-known, UK Rail engineering contractor have a new long term ongoing contractual opportunity waiting for an experienced and committed P-Way Project Engineer. Our client requires a career motivated and project focused P-Way Project Engineer to join their new P-Way engineering team to be an integral part of the development and growth of this new division within an already established Civil engineering organisation.

Our client has been welcomed to start delivering a range of P-Way works throughout the South of England. These works will range from Track renewals, Installations, Enhancements and other associated P-Way works.

  • As the P-Way Engineering lead, you will be adept with surveys, setting out techniques, as-builts and project scoping. You will be comprehensive with recording findings, presentations and sharing information.
  • You will need to have a good working interpretation of related design, and that working appreciation of design through to delivery in relation to Track project fundamentals. This can and will also include elements of Track Drainage, Earthworks and varied Structures!
  • You will need to assess and review to ensure full compliance relating to UK Railway standards as well as health, safety and quality standards also delivery and potential environmental impacts.


In addition to assisting in the moulding, development and growth of this new P-Way offering within our clients engineering organisation, you the P-Way Project Engineer will be required to assist with P-Way project requirements plans and lead the on-site delivery as required.

  • The successful P-Way Engineer will have had previous experience in a very similar role working on lengthy Plain line and S+C renewals and installation deliveries, and will be astute with regards to P-Way related planning and technical delivery, with that scalable working appreciation of Plain line and S+C Track delivery within mainline infrastructure.
  • As the P-Way Project Engineer, you will be the technical lead, experienced in leading and mentoring others and offering support in to analysing and understanding complex data to produce credible outcomes and solutions for customers and clients alike.
  • It is envisaged that the successful P-Way Project Engineer will be qualified to a minimum of HNC or equivalent and possess a strong history working within a similar role within mainline P-Way related projects, installation, renewals and developments.
  • To hold or have held a P-Way CRE status would be advantageous but not essential!
