PSD Engineer: Riyadh Metro Project

My client is a leading railway engineering consultancy looking to recruit a Senior PSD Engineer to work on the Riyadh Metro Project. The main function of this position is to ensure that the contractors who are installing the Platform Screen Doors conform to the Employer's Requirements and that ensure that all platform train interfaces are respected.

Main duties on the project;

†Review and comment of the design, installation and operation of the Platform Screens Doors during the design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning phases of the project.
†Ensure all Platform -Train Interfaces are met and maintained in accordance with the Employer's Requirements (Specifications).
†Evaluate the proposals submitted by the Design-Build contractor and make recommendations.
†Co-ordinate with the Signalling and ATC Engineers in regard to interface controls.
†Co-ordinate with Architects in regard to the aesthetic requirements.
†Co-ordinate with Telecoms Engineers in regard to the Passenger Information Displays.
†Ensure safe practice is achieved in the design of the workshop equipment.
†Monitor the FAT, commissioning, system integration, and final acceptance of all workshop equipment.
†Review the Design-Build Contractor's provision of all technical O&M resources that are necessary to operate and maintain the transit system safely with the required level of service and with the required performances.
†Coordinate with Systems Integration and Systems Safety Specialists.

Requirements to apply;

Degree qualification in Engineering or Science based subject.
15+ years in PSD engineering and design.
Experience in all phases of project life-cycle from design to delivery.
Strong communication skills, comfortable in client advisory capacity.
