Our transportation client are currently lookng for a Planning and Reporting Project Officer to join their growing team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation that is going from strength to strength and is changing transportation across the North of the country.
Purpose:
Lead role in delivering the IST Programme's Planning and Reporting activities across multiple projects and workstreams. Maintain an effective PMO to enable the efficient functionality of projects and Programmes. Support the delivery of designated projects to time, standard and budget.
1. Support the development of TfN's Project and Programme Management standards and procedures
2. Support the development of the programme's Gateway Review process.
3. Fully engage in all development and delivery activities as and when directed.
4. Assist Programme teams with PM functions as requested
5. Ensure that PMO processes, procedures and records are developed and properly in place to enable the effective
ongoing functioning of the programme teams.
6. Establish, manage and ensure compliance with filing systems for project and programme specific documents and records.
7. Ensure the development and delivery of all required PMO support services to support the effective on-going functioning of the programme teams.
8. Ensure Programme / Project Documents are produced, reviewed, approved and kept up to date for each project/ programme.
9. Participate in appropriate reviews and lessons learnt exercises at the various stages of the lifecycle process for all TfN Programmes and Projects.
10. Manage the monthly programme reporting process, including preparation of reporting templates, collation of programme reports, and producing the monthly board reporting accordance with challenging deadlines.
11. Co-ordinate the dissemination and monitoring of project and programme periodic report packs.
12. Identify and implement improvements to the reporting process on an ongoing basis following consultation with the senior management team.
13. Responsible for the consistency and quality across all projects of monthly progress update process / schedules.
14. Identify and evaluate schedule deviations on a monthly basis.
15. Analyse complex project data and write technical management level progress reports
16. Co-ordinate all project (both internal and external) reporting to tight timescales whilst managing conflicting priorities effectively
