The Role
This role would suit an established Safety Assurance Manager who is looking to take the next step in their career. Within this role you will support the Project Director and Assurance Manager. You will act as site representative for the execution of the programs of Safety, RAM, Quality and V&V of the Rail Automation Portfolio throughout the lifecycle of the project which is expected to last until 2019 to late 2020. You will be office based in the CBD, but you will be required to do site visits as well as international travel.
Duties
- Support Assurance Manager and Project Director in ensuring that the customer’s and all other Assurance requirements are fulfilled.
- Working with the RAMS and V&V Engineer, ensure the establishment and execution of effective System Safety, RAM, Quality and V&V programs throughout the lifecycle of the projects and Ensure the execution of the System Safety, RAM, Quality and V&V programs in accordance with the plans, with the generation of appropriate assurance artefacts
- Arrange audits on all suppliers
- Provide diligent oversight of sub-contractor’s engineering and assurance activities
- Establish a suite of planning documentation for the System Safety, RAM, Quality and V&V programs
- Manage the Change Review Process to ensure all changes are properly validated and documented
- Communicate and control the Advanced Product Quality Plan and the Project Quality Management Plan to quality representative of partners and supplier
Key Requirements
- Relevant tertiary education
- Minimum 5 years Systems Assurance experience at a Management Level
- In-depth understanding of System Assurance Techniques
- Heavy rail industry and/or light rail Experience
- Experienced auditor
- Experience of engagement and presentation of status for executive level management
- Evidence of technical leadership of teams
