We are dealing with a client organization who are looking to recruit a Project Controls Manager based in Birmingham and the West Midlands working on the New Highspeed Rail project. As the Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for the development of the project baseline across scope, time, cost, risk and quality for a development or delivery area of the High-Speed Programme, providing analysis of performance against the baseline and highlighting any trends or risks to support decision making.  Typical job duties for the Project Controls Manager, can include but not limited to:

• Managing, supporting and co-ordinating project controls activities within the supply chain, for projects or contracts to assure the accuracy and quality of cost, risk and schedule information being captured
• Managing the assurance of Project Controls Data and ensuring adherence with Project Management Office (PMO) and Project Controls policies, processes and standards across development and delivery areas.
• Providing functional line management, performance management and objective setting support to direct reports such as the Assistant Project Controls Managers
• Responsible for supporting and coordinating the change management
  process, ensuring impacts to the baseline are effectively assessed and
  managed.
• Develop and maintain an integrated baseline across scope, time, cost, risk and quality and track performance for project and contract.

 
Job Requirements

• Experienced in the management and control of key Project Controls systems (e.g.
  Primavera P6, Prism, CEMAR, etc.).
• Experience in project controls on projects/programmes
• Experience in one or more the core project controls functions, including; baseline
  maintenance, schedule management, cost performance, change management,
  risk management and performance reporting.
• Experience of facilitating and administering project performance reviews and
  presentation with stakeholders
