Are you an experienced Design Manager looking for a new and exciting role?

Ford and Stanley are currently recruiting for a market-leading Volumetric and Offsite construction specialist based in Newark. As a Project Design manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and design resource of complex off-site / modular construction projects, across a number of sectors, including MOD, Commercial, Retail, Education and Healthcare.

Location (s): Newark, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, East Midlands.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee and co-ordinate the design of multiple projects, liasing with the project and construction management teams, ensuring that projects are achieved on time and on budget.
• Assist in the recruitment and selection of design based sub-contractors, ensuring that they are competent and qualified for the project.
• Manage allocated resources within projects, producing project design programs to aid in timescale planning.
• Produce design risk assessments for each project.
• Manage the rest of the design team, including Project Design Engineers and CAD Technicians.
• Contribute to the development of new and innovative products.

Essential requirements

• HND/HNC in a relevant subject.
• Be highly competent at CAD, preferably with experience in Autodesk, Revit and Autocad.
• Previous experience working in a design management-based position.
• Have a proven track record of delivering large scale projects.
• Candidate must be able to plan and program projects from inception to completion.
