Project Director (ISA) - GCC Region

EWI are supporting a Leading international engineering firm who are requiring a highly experienced and qualified Project Director for the role of Railway Independent Safety Assessor (ISA). The successful candidate will have a minimum of 20 years of industry experience, with a significant portion dedicated to ISA roles. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the safety and compliance of our railway projects, with a focus on delivering high-quality results within the specified budget and timeline.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to ensure the successful execution of railway projects.
• Oversee and manage the Independent Safety Assessment (ISA) process in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Lead a team of safety assessors, engineers, and project managers to achieve project objectives.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance and safety standards are met.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
• Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure that all safety assessments are conducted in a thorough and systematic manner.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for safety-related matters and provide guidance to the team.
• Monitor and report on project progress, performance, and safety metrics.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the team and across projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in the railway industry.
• Extensive experience (minimum of 10 years) as an Independent Safety Assessor (ISA).
• Strong project management skills with a minimum of 10 years of project management experience.
• Knowledge of Middle East railway projects and regulatory requirements (preferred).
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on safety and quality.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
