My client is a leading railway engineering company who are looking for a Project Director for their Navi Metro Project, in Belapur, India. This role is to support and lead a team about 65 professional, which comprises of Civil, Systems, Rolling stock , contracts and other administrative support staff, responsible for overall function of the project both technical & commercial aspect. Provide technical, Safety legal and commercial guidance to the client, evaluate overall performance of the project, provide feedback to the client on various aspect of the project in a time bound fashion, managing & evaluating the performance of the Contractors and provide feedback to the client.
This role pays a total monthly salary 7,000 USD + accommodation + health insurance.
Responsibilities of the position;
Overall responsibility of running the project in an efficient and profitable manner.
Ensure that all projects are delivered ontime, within scope and within budget.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring the success of the project.
Develop / modify a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors / contactors for the flawless execution of project.
Ensure resource availability and allocation.
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Report and escalate to management as needed.
Manage the relationship with the client and all internal and external stakeholders.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors/ contractors.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Requirements to apply ;
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a UGC recognized Institute / University.
Minimum 20 years' of progressive experience in Civil Infrastructure.
At least 8 years' experience within an international organization managing Metro Rail project..
Experience working with the Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, Lync and Outlook, MS Project is
desirable.
Experience of working in a multicultural environment.
Proven working experience in project management
Excellent clientfacing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Project Management Professional (PMP) would be desirable.
