Position: Project Director
Location: Sydney or Auckland
Salary: AUS $280,000 - $350,000 (equivalent £165,000 - £205,000)

We are looking to attract a Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) to join an Australian Contractor on a permanent basis.

With the Australian government recognising the importance of rail infrastructure, they are embarking on a 20-year investment strategy across Passenger, Freight, Urban and Metro systems. $20bn has been made available in the <phone number removed> budget and this is just the beginning.

Our client is looking to build on its already well establish and well-regarded Rail business, through diversifying its offering and continuing its growth in terms of scale and maturity. Currently in transition, they are evolving into a 'top table' contractor and are operating as a strategic Alliance or Joint Venture partner.

To support this growth and to deliver projects of greater scale and complexity, they are seeking to strengthen their team by appointing a CRE.

Requirements:
-Minimum of 5 years' in a Senior Project Manager or Project Director role, gained working for a Contractor
-Degree qualified (relevant to construction/engineering)
-Proven history of delivering large scale rail infrastructure projects of $100M+ in value (P&L accountability), experience in collaborative working relationships and lump sum delivery models
-Metro rail and brownfield stations MEP experience advantageous
-Managed teams of 50+ people, examples of mentoring (advantageous), strong safety culture and appreciation for quality
-Appreciation of Systems Engineering and Safety assurance philosophy including knowledge RAMS EN50126, V Cycle processes, operational readiness and commissioning events
-Experience in claims management/contract negotiation, sub-contract management, commercial contract management exposure
-Dynamic, enthusiastic, calm under pressure, strong stakeholder management experience
