Contract: Permanent

Hours of Work: 45 hours per week Monday to Friday

Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 (Plus Car Allowance and Company Benefits)

Established in 1997, KH Engineering Services Ltd is one of the UK’s leading providers of mechanical and electrical (‘M&E’) engineering solutions covering the design, management and delivery of services for the rail and wider transport sectors. Our services are typically delivered across five categories; design and survey; M&E installation; lighting installation and testing; bespoke engineering and civil works; and maintenance.

The successful applicant must be able be able to demonstrate complete competence in the smooth delivery of projects from conception to completion with values between £1m and £10m within NEC3, JCT and bespoke contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Projects Team to successfully deliver the key stages of projects to ensure they are on time, to high quality and within the specified budget.
  • Regularly attend meetings with clients, third parties and Project Managers to report on progress.
  • Offering strategic leadership across the whole of the delivery side of the organisation and act as the escalation point for all management issues.
  • Identify and develop a pipeline of opportunities along with the necessary resources required for successful operational delivery.
  • Responsible for all aspects of project lifecycle from pre-tender to post delivery, meeting the Clients expectations whilst working within the Company’s financial agreement parameters.
  • Devising cost-effective plans and methods to enable effective completion of projects.
  • Ensuring project managers supervise and manage their own multidiscipline teams.
  • Responsible for materials and invoicing approval and sign off.
  • Support the ISO 9001 Quality Management systems, 14001 Environmental Management Systems and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety and work within the framework of Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 and other framework accreditations as awarded.

Requirements:

  • Current in date ECS Gold Card showing relevant Grade
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Personal Track Safety (PTS) would be advantageous however full training will be given to the successful candidate
  • Must have achieved a Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical, Electronic Engineering or Building Services Engineering with an electrical installation bias
  • Highly proficient IT skills including competence in MS Project, Excel, Word and CAD.
  • Must have extensive experience of managing construction projects.
