We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Director to join our growing team. The role will include the management of projects in Design contracts for Infrastructure and optionally for systems within a Design consortium.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The main duties and responsibilities of the role are:

  • Ensuring the successful implementation of the contract while optimising Egis Rail interests (margin improvement, risks mitigation, technical optimisation, etc.);
  • Achieving timely execution of services to the project within budget;
  • Ensuring client-oriented procedures are applied to the project;
  • Organising the approval of project control procedures and project deliverables;
  • Reporting progress to RB Rail and Consortium Members representatives;
  • Leading the control and the supervision of the production within quality criteria (preliminary design, project, technical specifications, standards, selection of suppliers) in coordination with Technical and design managers;
  • Recommending and implementing changes to the project if it appears it is not proceeding on budget and schedule or is producing unsatisfactory results or should the initial plan fail or incur problems/difficulties; and
  • Managing an effective communication link with Clients, partners and / or others sub-contractors or subsidiaries.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in managing at least one completed railway design project, covering the following:
    • Design that has been completed within the previous 10 years,
    • 1435 mm gauge and TSI verified railway;
    • Design speed above 200 km/h.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.
  • General knowledge of Project Management.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Professional skills including PowerPoint and Word.
  • The ability to produce a high standard of work which meets the client and business requirements.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, meet tight deadlines and balance priorities to achieve results.
  • Effective time management skills as required to attain budget and timescale restraints set forward by the project requirements and the ability to perform successfully in a challenging works environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
