The Role

You will be joining a thriving team as a key player in increasing the Engineering competency and capability on rail projects across this company’s Eastern Enhancements framework. Acting as CRE for Construction, you will be working with the project CEMs and Project Managers to arrive at the optimum design solution whilst also acting as Project engineer.

This is a predominantly office-based position which will give you the opportunity to showcase innovative thinking and bring challenge to the design process whilst supporting the Engineering teams through the planning and construction phases of individual rail schemes.

Day to day you can expect to be carrying out targeted CRE audits and site inspections, carrying out Temporary Works Coordinator duties where appointed, engaging with the pre-construction team to provide support in the appointment of design consultants, and carrying out periodic reviews to test adequacy of planning and delivery amongst many other things.

Package

For this position, the company is offering a basic salary of £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, the choice of a company car or car allowance, 26 days holiday + bank holidays with two optional charity days and the option to buy more holidays, funding and support with professional memberships, Pension, Life assurance and an Agile working policy.

About you

If you want to hit the ground running in this role, it is essential that you’re a technically qualified rail professional, with a proven track record acting as CRE and TWC in a main contractor environment.

Your portfolio will consist of multi-disciplined rail projects, and you must have experience in disciplines such as civil engineering, earthworks, or structures on rail projects.

Communication is key in this role, so you’ll be somebody able to build close working relationships and able to work harmoniously with others. An ambitious individual, eager to maximise their professional capabilities will be ideal to match the culture of this company and fulfil your career goals.
