Project Engineer (Electrification and Plant) (Inside IR35)
Contract Term: 6 months
Contracting Authority: Network Rail
Location: Manchester (commute each way must be within a 90-minute commute to the Manchester Square One office)

As a Project Engineer, your main responsibilities would be:
- Managing design activities relating to the Liverpool City Enhancement and North West Transformation projects.
- Implementing Network Rail systems and procedures to maintain a cost effective, high quality, safe and environmentally responsible approach to design, construction, commissioning and other relevant technical activities.
- Maintaining the use of relevant techniques and procedures of quantified and qualitative risk assessment and HAZOP analysis to allocated projects and manage the environmental aspects of allocated projects in accordance with Network RAIL’s environmental policy.
- Monitoring design and specialist consultants and contractors and provide project management advice in respect of all construction activities, including testing and commissioning and site supervision.
You’ll have:
- Previous relevant experience within the rail industry
- Experience as an E&P Project Engineer / Contractors Responsible Engineer
- Understanding of the Network Rail Design Process for E&P (Form A and B) and M&E (Form <phone number removed> )
- Understanding of BS7671 Wiring Regulations competent to 18th Edition
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
It would also be advantageous for you to have:
- Active PTS
