SER Project Engineer

Delivery of Signalling Equipment Rooms throughout all SMAs 0.5-14 (SMA location tbc) on behalf of the 4LM programme.

The scope requires an accredited or previously accredited LU Project engineer (requiring future assessment) in accordance with R0046. The candidate will need to be verse in London Underground standards and processes (Pathway, etc).

The scope will include (not limited to):

• Act as single point of contact for all Engineering topics for the respective SERs, with effective delegation and empowerment to act on behalf of the SER SPE.
• Lead on technical integration of the respective projects through the design and site application engineering phases.
• Lead on issue resolution of multi-disciplinary or multi-project nature.
• Challenge discipline specific issues through the respective Discipline Engineers and escalate items as required to the SER SPE and Lead Discipline Engineers.
• Compile and review handover documentation to enable the efficient handover of the SERs to all stakeholders including Thales and AO.
• Author and/or manage the development and delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering assurance products in compliance with S1538 and Pathway.
• Identify non compliances and author and/or manage the development concessions or alternative methods to delivery of assured engineering outcomes.
• Support the programme in the delivery of its CDM obligations.
• Support the respective SER PM and their teams and respective embedded Professional Services in the management of schedule, risk and cost, drawing upon the SER technical risk and issues register.
• Own the resolution of quality issues with regards to engineering deliverables and support Construction in the management of site quality.
• Identify and lead the delivery of Value Engineering outcomes (design, process, resources, tools, etc.), seeking the support of the SPE and Lead Discipline Engineers.
