Navartis are recruiting on behalf of a major construction contractor renowned for creating award-winning residential developments in London and the South of England to support them in managing the interface between the delivery team and Crossrail.
The project is a £1.5 Billion Residential Development scheme in Woolwich which will include the construction of a new Crossrail Station as part of the new development.
The client is looking for an experienced project management professional to manage the interface between the delivery team and Crossrail.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Previous experience within a managerial role in a construction / rail environment
- Experience of project delivery, ideally in a railway on construction environment
- Knowledge of the railway operation and infrastructure for a rail client ie Transport for London / London Underground / Crossrail / Network Rail.
- Experience with the interface between internal and external stakeholders and managing complex internal and external interfaces
- Significant and proven experience dealing with interface files processing and building client relationships.
- Knowledge and experience of budget management.
- Good time management skills and demonstratable ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
- A Minimum Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or project management
Desirable experience
- Experience working for a construction company involved in residential developments.
- Membership (or working towards membership) Association for Project Management
- Achieved PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- To manage the interface between the project and the operational management of the new station
- Responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring the point of interaction between the various technical elements of the project, the product, and the organisation(s)
- Manage operational interfaces between the project and the client to minimise disruption to beneficiaries, retailers, occupiers, customers and the public etc
- Representing the Project where appropriate to Contractor(s), clients and service providers as appropriate.
- Provide relevant expertise within the Project in the area of the Management and, where appropriate, close out, of Interfaces.
- Ensuring that all interfaces between the Project Team and other Contractors and Crossrail are identified, documented and managed during all stages
- set-up of the project interface team, development of the interface strategy, interface management plan and interface management procedure
