Our client has an opening for a Project Manager to deliver stages GRIP 3 - 4 on their E&P works based in London.

Key responsibilities for the role

Working closely with delivery partners you the Project Manager for E&P Enhancements will need to effectively manage change and any potential risks and early warning indicators which will affect the set schemes within the programme.

There will be set milestones and project baselines schedules, that will need to be put in place, which will need monitoring to ensure expected delivery in line with the programme is met!

You will need to keep project communication and related information flowing and distributed comprehensively, by way of keeping regular reports on progress and all change management, risks, etc. you will need to promote the use of effective continuous improvement methods.

Managing the client will be a very important part of this requirement, you will need the need to develop and maintain a strong effective working relationship with the client, a relationship where you have built and gained credibility with the client will be important to be able to utilise the gained faith, trust and confidence.

The successful Project Manager for E&P Enhancements will ideally possess the following;

• A strong working experience and appreciation of NWR GRIP stages, in particularly concentrating from GRIP 3-4
• Past experience of working closely with designers and varied engineers
• Experience and competence with interfacing and liaising closely with Clients, Key-Stakeholders and Sub-contractors alike
• A proven confident experience within client management, conducting or reviewing set requirements plans and milestones as well as effective progress monitoring, quality checking and reporting
• Will ideally hold a minimum of HNC (or equivalent) within a related engineering/ development remit
• Hold or are working towards a Project Management (APM) qualification such as Prince 2 or equivalent.
• The ability to manage commercial and costings
• A strong working appreciation of UK Rail related health, safety and environmental
• Past working experience within UK rail related E&P programmes, enhancements and or installations

This contractual position is to start ASAP. Our client is looking to offer a very completive per day rate for the right level of knowledge, experience, abilities and above all drive!
