Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Electrical & Power (E&P) engineering and high-voltage (HV) substations. This role involves managing projects on Network Rail sites, focusing on substation and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management:

Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including Network Rail, contractors, and suppliers.
Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
Technical Oversight:

Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of HV substations and SCADA systems.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and safety regulations.
Provide technical guidance and support to the project team and contractors.
Risk Management:

Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure that all safety and quality requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Communication and Reporting:

Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members.
Resource Management:

Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Ensure the efficient use of resources to meet project objectives.
Key Requirements
Experience and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Specify required years years of experience in project management, specifically in E&P and HV substations.
Experience working on Network Rail sites or similar infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of E&P systems, HV substations, and SCADA systems.
Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., BS, IEC, Network Rail standards).
Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Certifications:

Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is desirable.
Relevant safety and compliance certifications (e.g., CSCS, PTS) are an advantage.
