As a result of our client’s success Dutton Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Project Manager - E-Commerce Website to work at our clients Doncaster site.
This position is responsible for the overall project management of our new on-line trading platform, which has been developed using the Magento/Pimcore system, driving its development as the primary trading platform for our customers, and managing colleagues from across the business to ensure that the data in the system is accurate, developing all processes and data management systems.
The role is part of a small team in the Marketing function that will coordinate the management of the system, drawing on expertise from Marketing Communications, Engineering, Product Management and Procurement.
Additionally, a photography project will need to be initiated to ensure that all products have appropriate images associated with them. This will be a time-limited process with two photographers and a warehouse operative and will run through to February/March 2020.
As the system will be at the heart of the future trading relationship with customers worldwide, it is expected that the team will grow over time and become a key department contributing to the future success of the business.
The successful candidate will be making decisions throughout each day on the project parameters, processes and commercial development. Where there is dissonance in agreement, the Project Manager will review with the Marketing Director and relevant colleagues to fix policy and disseminate it throughout the relevant parts of the organisation.
Initially there will be one Data Manager role reporting to the Project Manager, together with a team of two photographers in the warehouse working with a Warehouse operative. The Project Manager will keep the team levels in balance and advise on workload requirements and appropriate resourcing.
The role will require independent decision making within the parameters of the project plan as directed by the Marketing Director. Use of the clients way is expected to continuously review processes, take advantage of emerging trends in the industry and to review/respond to suggestions for amends to data. As a role in a strategic project within the business, the role will require interface with senior colleagues up to Director level to manage the development of the project.
The role requires a tenacity in the approach to communicate the vision for the project and ensure that the business is aware of the importance of the project and as such, communication skills are required to engage with all levels of the business.
As an emerging strategic thread, the project will have a high profile within the business and the post holder will need to be able to represent and promote the project across all levels and stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
