Role: Project Manager (Engineering) - Defence
Location: Faslane Naval Base, Scotland
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

I am looking to place a Project Manager with a background in Civil, Structural or Marine Engineering in a consultancy working on-site at Faslane Naval base to support the £31 billion Dreadnought Submarine Programme. Various packages of work are currently ongoing as part of the Dreadnought Programme and you will support the Senior Project Manager and Head of Engineering in delivering complex, multidisciplinary nuclear and non-nuclear projects from concept through to final handover. These include new shiplifts, portside structures, utility buildings, infrastructure/road developments and overhead mechanical cranes.
The Dreadnought Programme is due to complete for be ready for active service in 2028 and you will support a variety of schemes to ensure this deadline is met. You will sit in an on-site integrated project team of civil/structural/mechanical design engineers, project managers and construction staff managing schedule planning, risk mitigation and client (the Ministry of Defence) liaison.
Ideally, you will come from an engineering background (Civil, Structural or Marine) and have since turned to Project Management with a focus on engineering projects, preferably in a defence setting. You will have relevant qualifications and experience in engineering Project Management such as APMP, PMP or PRINCE2. You will also be able to support health and safety/risk management duties. Due to the nature of the role, you will require CTC, SC or DV Clearance (SC or DV preferred) or be able to obtain relevant clearance. Due to the nature of Clearance required, dual-nationals cannot be accepted for this position.
