£450 - £550 /day (In-scope of IR35)
Duration – On Going contract initially.
“Our client is a well-established Nationwide Rail company who provide an exceptional service to their customers and are focused on continually improving this.” This work will be on the Transpennine Route Upgrade.
The Successful Candidate will build, manage and develop the P&D across a number of projects for Rail Systems, supporting all contracts and projects and to achieve targets and project objectives in respect of team development and staff utilisation.
Responsibilities
- To promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with safety responsibilities.
- Ensuring project compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental and other appropriate regulations such as CDM 2015.
- Delivering the project(s) in line with the Common Safety Method (CSM) and Technical Specification of Interoperability (TSI) standards.
- Support accident investigations when remitted.
- Supporting the consents team to obtain all consents for the project(s) to meet timescales.
- Manage team(s), including training, development and performance management.
- Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities), planning and implementing mitigation strategy
- Managing stakeholders and ensuring project solutions meet their needs where possible.
- Preparing end stage reports.
- Overseeing quality control throughout the project cycle.
- Timely input to weekly PAPM/CAPM’s and period end Balanced Scorecard reports to an agreed format (to include the Amey Essentials KPIs).
- Ensure that allocated contracts are effectively planned, and progress reviewed weekly
- Confirming and validating engineering access requirements to deliver the project(s).
- Monitoring and advising on survey inputs to meet the overall project delivery requirements.
- Accountable for submitting and meeting accurate forecasts for cost and turnover achieving forecast margins for allocated contracts.
- Forecasting and monitoring the financial performance of the project, giving regular reports
- To support the tender processes and strategy as required.
The Ideal Candidate has:
- HNC / HND in Engineering (or a similar approved qualification)
- OLEC 1
- Personal Track Safety
- SMSTS/IOSH Managing Safely
- The ability to manage and lead a team in the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary projects
- Understanding of Railway planning systems
- Risk Management Awareness
- CDM (2015) Regulations Training
Desirable Skills, Qualifications and Training:
- NEBOSH Certificate
- Project Management Methodology Qualification
- Commercial, Estimating, Contract and Procurement Training
- Presentation skills, collaborative working
- Working at Height training
