A leading Rail Engineering Main Contractor to the UK Rail development sectors have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and detailed Rail Civils related Project Manager to lead in the ultimate successful delivery of a major heavy Rail Civils programmes, with that ability to build and create credible Tender pricing and methodologies. This long-term contractual position is to be based in the South West.

Duties & Responsibilities:

As the Rail Civils Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective management of all related Civils works with regards to the planning and engineering activities.

You will be lead to streamline processes and focuses on a smooth project delivery and accepted handover; therefore, you will be accountable for pre-empting, identifying and ensuring the quick resolution processes for all engineering issues, which may arise within the programme. You will need to effectively manage the creation of credible scoping plans assessing what Construction / Engineering techniques will need to be utilised.

Being the Rail Civils Project Manager, you will need to conduct close liaison with the client and key stakeholders, design houses and Sub-contractors. You will need to produce credible project progress reports, cases studies and ensure dependable handback files.

Requirements:

*It is envisaged that the successful Rail Civils Project Manager will have worked within a simpler role managing delivery processes on multipule projects consisting of; Bridge work, varied Rail structures, Embankments, Piling and foundations, Soil retention systems, varied demolitions and re-builds and renewals

*To have the ability to effectively scope, plan and oversee delivery form end to end, to fully hand over a large scale multi-million Rail Civils development programmes.

*Through past working experiences, you will have a strong interface / integration and multi-discipline appreciation within UK Rail delivery consisting of the Civils aspect of: - P-Way, OLE, Signalling and Stations

*As an experienced Project Manager you will possess a solid working appreciation within costings and commercial aspect, Tendering and change management and best resourcing utilisation skills together with full PMO and UK Rail Engineering principles

*You will possess strong working appreciation and knowledge gained within NWR infrastructure along with strong understanding of related policies and procedures.


Packaged offered

For the right knowledge, experienced and abilities for this Rail Civils Project management position, our client is looking to offer the following:

£60,000 £65,000 per annum
25 days holiday per year
