A renowned Main Contractor to the UK Rail industry has successfully secured a large scale package of fundamental Rail Civils development works, consisting of varied Civils requirements such as Bridge work, Foundations, Piling Embankments and Culverts. All to be conducted in London and Hertfordshire

Our client is in need of an experienced and delivery focused Rail Civils Project Manager who has strong working experience, managing, guiding, negotiating and liaising with the clients and key stakeholders.

Role & Responsibilities:

You the Civils Project Manager will be reporting to the senior project engineering management team and will be accountable for the effective planning, design review and associated engineering direction to oversee and ensure the smooth delivery processes of our clients Civils requirements, with the ability to competently and effectively manage quick reactive change requirements.

Requirements:

As the Civils Project Manager you will have previous experience working in a similar role within major Civils and Rail Civils operations and will have the knowledge and working appreciation of all related civils aspect for Rail Structures, Bridges, Culverts, Embankments, Foundations, Ancillary works and Piling.

This position requires a Project Manager who has a proven portfolio of leading delivery for heavy civils and construction, all within a UK mainline environment working closely with designers, technical drawings, varied engineers and site delivery teams.

It is a vital requirement that the appointed Project Manager will have a proven and working experience history of working Closely with clients such as NWR, TFL directly themselves rather than delegating this duty, you will be very aware of what will be accepted by the client and how to achieve an acceptance for needed change.

Proven experience of managing and controlling the planning and design reviews to delivery for UK Rail Civils development and related programmes

Experience in delivering multiple Rail Civil developments and installations / renewal schemes, with a strong technical appreciation able to effectively be the fair technical lead and go-to-person for a delivery team

Will hold a strong working knowledge of UK Rail engineering policies and procedures and NWR GRIP stages

Effective and good man-management, planning, commercial appreciation with design to build and delivery qualities, who can lead and motivate by example

Strong communication skills at all levels, able to competently interface with clients and key-stakeholders and work collaboratively with associated sectors

Package Offered:

This is a superb opportunity for a skilled and knowledgeable Rail related Rail Civils Project Manager to offer their experience and attributes to an established UK rail development organisation. For this long term contract position our client is looking to offer a very competitive permanent salary and package:

£54,000 £64,000 per annum
25 days holiday per year
