We currently have exciting opportunity for a career minded individual to join one of the leading railway systems contractor in the UK who are currently seeking a Project Manager from a rail background to join their team in the Swindon area on a permanent basis. As Project Manager you will be expected to Manage and monitor a number or project programs to ensure successful completion of planned activities and delivery of the projects. In order to do this you will have to closely with other Project Managers in the team. This role will be mainly office based although travel will be required to other offices and site visits.

As a Project Manager you will be expected to undertake the following duties but not limited to.

Arrange and conduct monthly project reviews to review cost vs sales
Arrange for the implementation of corrective actions to improve the performance of projects
Support specific business initiatives as required with respect to individual projects
Work closely with customers to understand the requirements of individual projects, developing effective working relationships
Defining the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project and manage their development and delivery
Manage project change and its potential impact on programme, cost and resources
Manage, monitor and motivate the cross functional team assigned to the project
Identify potential problems at an early stage and implement effective contingencies.
