Project Manager - Rail

Are you a rail-based Project Manager, or an experienced Assistant Project Manager, looking to take the next step in your career?

Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Specialists are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join one of our prestigious clients on a 1-year FTC. The successful candidate(s) will be assisting with a number of rail-based, Electrical and Telecommunications infrastructure projects across the UK.

Location (s): Scunthorpe

Role and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operations Manager in the delivery and management of a number of projects across the UK and monitor KPI's.
  • Monitor and analyse P&L for individual projects.
  • Liaise with internal departments and provide full support to external clients, offering solutions to any possible delivery issues.
  • Support and monitor employee performance, well-being and development.

Education Level and/or Relevant Experience

  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years Project Management experience, within the rail sector.
  • Excellent track record of providing solutions and contributions to previous projects.
  • The candidate must be able to evaluate and judge and decide on alternative options, as and when required, and hold accountability for those decisions.
  • The candidate must be able to provide coaching and mentoring for less senior staff.
  • The candidate must be flexible and cooperative with internal and external team members, driving effectiveness and results.
