Project Manager
Location: Stockport / Irlam / Manchester
Salary / Benefits: £50,000 - £60,000 plus package / car allowance

Working for an award-winning multi-disciplinary civil engineering company with an excellent reputation for delivering major signalling and OLE infrastructure projects nationally
To be suitable for the position you must have;
- Relevant successful experience in project management on network rail projects.
- Railway Steel works experience (steel structures, bridge manufacturing / installation, LOC platforms, signalling structures signalling gantries / posts etc)
- A Background working for a rail/civils contractor.
- Qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction or relevant compensating experience
- Experience working a CRE (Construction) (desirable but not essential)
Role Information;
- To lead the safe delivery of projects to achieve the required cost, time, delivery and quality objectives within corporate guidelines.
- Develop appropriate delivery and supply strategies and plans for specific projects or jobs ensuring that corporate principals are maintained.
- Ensuring high safety standards are adhered to by ensuring compliance with Rules and Regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that jobs are managed effectively to ensure safe delivery to client expectations.
- Apply the principles of sound Project Management ensuring that jobs are managed effectively to ensure safe delivery to client expectations.
- Take overall accountability for the formation of target costs and construction estimates for the project.
- Provide a professional, first class service to the clients, including project monitoring and reporting systems in accordance with company standards and Network Rail guidelines.
- Attend Inter-Disciplinary reviews as directed.
- Attend all technical and safety briefings as directed.
- Accept and operate within budgets adhering to cost control processes to support target delivery in accordance with company procedures.
- Capture variations and change requests to ensure construction and commercial risk exposure is reduced. Participate in the production of designs within agreed timescales.
- Prepare sub-contract documentation for specialist suppliers for sub-contact works.
- Undertake a pro-active approach to Close Call Reporting and promote the value of Safety Conversations.
- Actively participate in safety briefings and safety initiatives at all levels of the organisation
