Senior Project Manager / Project Manager - Design & Build

I am looking for both Senior Project Managers and Project Managers to join my clients innovative signalling business. The projects worked on will be in the Anglia/South East/South (Greater London Based) on Signalling led, multi-disciplinary rail bids & projects. You will have the opportunity to work within their key portfolios including on some of the largest multi-million-pound major bids & projects in the Transportation sector and increasingly collaborative programmes across markets.

My client is a market leader in their field and provide Design and Build and a complete set of project-based and tailored advisory services across the Highways, Rail, International and Local Transport markets. They help and support the development of strategies and strengthen frameworks that effectively respond to market demands and bring ideas to life. The Signalling Business provides whole life cycle solutions in project management, project controls, quality and technical assurance and asset management, and delivers some of our largest projects. Project Delivery is integral to winning and delivering their portfolio of projects and this includes functional leadership and the application of the standards for how projects are governed.

The Role

• They are looking to recruit Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with a range of experience to join their Signalling Business, delivering £ Multi-Million rail infrastructure projects and portfolios of smaller works.
• The role offers the opportunity to manage the whole project life cycle with their experienced teams (in the UK and abroad) within the Signalling Business, the Transportation division and their trusted supply chain partners focussing on increasingly collaborative programmes across their market.
• You'll have the opportunity to lead team and use your proven team management and communication skills. How you motivate, mentor and develop people will be vital to achieve project management excellence.
• The roles will primarily be based in Anglia, the South and South East (Greater London based).

What you can bring

• You'll have excellent project management skills, but this doesn't need to be from a rail or signalling background. You will likely have a background in delivering design and build projects with experience of working with contractors to deliver infrastructure / engineering systems projects.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to HSQE and can demonstrate strong leadership in HSQE on own projects
• Experience of managing the implementation of systems and multi-disciplinary works
• Experience of managing sub-contracts as a means of delivering key works
• A track record of innovation, embracing new ways of working and use of digital tools
• Experience of Design & Build either working in a contractor organisation within design-based organisation working with contractor and can demonstrate great ability to control these activities
• Demonstrate great client management skills. Able to build great relationships with Clients to optimise outcomes for Clients and the business.
• Be able to demonstrate good control of change management and understanding of the associated project risks
• Knowledge of different contracting types, especially target cost. Experience of resolving commercial disputes, leveraging contracts to grow opportunities
• Track record of delivering to budgets and looking at ways to improve financial performance of contracts
