I am currently searching for a Project Manager to work for an engineering consultancy responsible for writing the rules and regulations for the rail industry. The consultancy reaches out to Infrastructure companies, train and freight operators, rolling stock and suppliers to the industry.
Role:
Undertake the Project Management for the rail industry-initiated projects, including the delivery of research, standards, rules and national publications.
- Lead and motivate project teams of technical, operational and human factor specialists and risk analysts to plan and deliver projects
- Work closely with stakeholders
Requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of project management principles and practices, including project scheduling, resource planning, budgeting and cost management.
- Experience in managing the successful delivery of projects to agreed time, cost and quality constraints.
- Good project leadership skills - initiates actions, gives direction and takes responsibility.
- Good presentation, facilitation and chairing skills for stakeholder meetings.
- An interest in and ability to manage technical work.
- Contract oversight, audit and review activities, as needed.
- High level of competence in MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
