Project Manager in Mamchester, Northwest, United Kingdom
My client, a Transport organisation, is looking for an Interim Project Manager to help develop a robust and efficient programme plan that can be rolled out across the business.
This is a very exciting opportunity as they are embarking on rolling out a number of exciting new initiatives across their Transport sector. The primary focus for the organisation is to develop initial business cases into a feasible programme plan. This will consist of outlining programme procedures, cost plans, schedules. Due to the complexity and tight time frames, they need someone that can hit the ground running and have strong stakeholder experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop programme structure and governance plans
- Act as the main stakeholder interface with internal and external parties.
- Initiate steering group meetings and public consultations
- Manage communication and engagement at all stakeholder levels.
- Develop schedules, cost plans, programme procedures, risk register and all associated project documentation
Key Skills/Experience
- Extensive experience developing projects and programmes, preferably transport or local government
- Excellent stakeholder and communication skills
- The ability to hit the ground running and start adding value from Day 1 will be essential
