AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a professional Project Manager to join our Rail team. The appointed person shall be working for SRSA. The appointed person will work with the design manager of SRSA to:
- Support the Alliance in the delivery of multidisciplinary projects compliant with Network Rail Standards and Business Process Documentation to budget and defined timescales.
- Support creation and manage the delivery of the survey and design programmes for GRIP 4-8;
- Support PM function by acting as the point of contact for all reporting of survey and design programme progress and deliverables to the wider Alliance team.
- Create and manage the survey and design programmes
- Report progress to plan as required
- Escalate concerns and adjust resources to react to programme changes
- Monitor design deliverables for each project
- Hold regular programme progress meetings with delivery team
- Hold regular programme progress reviews with Contractors Engineering Managers and Designated Project Engineers - reviewing programme and resources across all of design and engineering covering GRIP 4-8
- Produce monthly MBR report for design and engineering
- Should be a self-starter with excellent stakeholder management and communications skills.
- Should have an educational qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Experience in managing a multi-disciplinary project in a complex engineering background. Experience in projects within operational rail environment will be highly regarded.
- Experience in typical stakeholder requirements for complex engineering projects
- Experience in the facilitation of scoping, risk and planning workshops
- Experience in the development of feasibility reports and project definition documents
- Experience in successfully leading project teams
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to service a diverse client base
- Solid ability to build strong client relationships.
- A strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment
- Quality and productivity in execution of duties and responsibilities as outlined above
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and software tools typically used in project delivery and management within rail environment.
- Knowledge of Multi-disciplinary design delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline.
