Ford & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Experts are supporting our Train Opening Company client in the South of England as they look to strengthen their team with several roles which are geared around large scale railway station upgrade and redevelopment projects, as well as several new station projects on their network.
The Project Manager role will be on a 2-year FTC basis with the potential of extending depending on future funding and project timescales.
As the successful candidate you will organise and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent Construction Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and work alongside a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organisational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget. Role and Responsibilities:
- Safety, cost, programme and quality requirements are met in the delivery maintenance / renewal projects across the Civils, Buildings and M&E Portfolio
- Work with Asset Manager and Project Manager to ensure scope definition and Technical Queries are managed to provide maximum whole life value
- Undertake site inspections / audits on track safety, quality and efficiency of site work (including out of hours and attendance during possessions)
- Track and forecast contractor costs - report on under / overspend
- Ensure quality paperwork is compiled by contactor; review Entry into Service and Handback documentation, H&S Files and O&M Manuals in conjunction with Asset Managers and Project Engineer
Essentials & Desirables:
- Proven working experience as a Project Manager
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Time management and organisation skills
- PTS
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS)
- Knowledge of Network Rail standard's
