Background to our team

Welcome to Railway Project Services. We are an SME consultancy founded in 2017 by our Managing Director – Joe Whalen. Since then, we have grown to over ten people and have earned awards from the Railway Industry Association, Federation on Small Businesses and Young Railway Professionals. We pride ourselves on being a small and agile organisation flexible to the needs of our Clients.

The work we do broadly comprises three specialisms:

1) Project Management for railway Clients
2) Precontract services including Bid Management and graphics
3) Estimating for post and precontract stages

Our Client base includes Network Rail, West Midlands Trains, Siemens and leading Tier One Contractors such as Morgan Sindall and Graham Group.

Core to our success is our organisation’s behaviours – when we deliver projects we are pro-active, output-focussed and work to remove project blockers for all stakeholders wherever possible.
