TXM Recruit are currently recruiting for a number of Infrastructure Project Mangers with civils experience in London, the suitable candidates will have knowledge of planning and delivering infrastructure enhancements.
These schemes vary in nature from Performance, Civils, Telecoms, CCTV, CIS and other MEPH or Systems biased schemes (although with some inter-disciplinary buildings and civils involvement), being delivered on and around the clients station footprints.
To be successful, the post holder must
• Be confident in liaising with RfL and Network Rail with strong evidence of an appreciation of the challenges and processes of infrastructure work on a railway.
• Have good stakeholder management skills
• Be familiar with safety critical operations, CDM, asset management and commercial contracts.
• Have experience of managing a diverse supply chain, across portfolio with multiple live projects at different lifecycle stages
• Demonstrable experience in the Rail Industry Sector (including application of GRIP, Construction Design Management (CDM) and the Common Safety Method (CSM)
• Experience of leading/managing a team
• Significant experience in planning, managing and delivering railway systems, CIS and MEPH schemes
• A strong understanding of the Project Lifecycle controls & best practice
• Experience of managing & developing through project life cycle processes
• Demonstrable experience of working within regulated project controls
• Demonstrable experience of influencing, engaging, building and sustaining collaborative relationships with senior company leadership and a client body
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Experience of infrastructure, significant construction project delivery
• Evidence of financial management and cost control in projects
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to remain constructive and resilient whilst pushing through change
• Ability to coach subject matter experts in the development of requirements and support them in taking this through to design and development

• Proven ability to translate construction and operational requirements into deliverable activities managing constraints as appropriate
• Strong communication skills, effective stakeholder management skills
• A determination to pre-empt and solve problems which might be impacting on delivery

• Adaptable and flexible regarding the work undertaken
• Strong demonstrable evidence of managing contractors & their respective supply chains
• Successful relevant experience in a complex project environment including demonstrable experience in team management, planning, contracting and delivery of projects.
Knowledge
• Strong knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes
• Commercially astute when negotiating and operating construction contracts
• Able to motivate contractors to deliver programmes
• Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
• Knowledge of construction and case law in relation to claims management
• Knowledge of NEC, JCT & bespoke contracts -
• Detailed Knowledge of Network Rails Investment, Commercial and Procurement regulations and practices -
• Knowledge of structuring safety cases in support of projects
• Knowledge of Network Rails assets and how they are managed
• Knowledge and understanding of planning requirements of Delivering Work Within Possessions (DWWP)
Education
• Broad technical engineering experience
• Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2 or those offered by the Association of Project Management
• Construction & Safety accreditation i.e CSCS/CITB/PTS/IOSH/ NEBOSH/SMSTS
