3 PM ROLES
CRMS PROJECT MANAGER
The Project Manager will be leading the Cable Route Management Systems (CRMS) Project within the Piccadilly Line Upgrade (PLU).
A Project Manager is needed to lead the CRMS team who are delivering enabling works packages required in support of the Piccadilly Line Upgrade new signalling system. This project manager will specifically be responsible for delivering trackside cable routes, both outer regions and tunnel (circa £25m), enabling space for future signalling cabling installation across the Piccadilly line. Capture innovation and opportunities embed within the project and other interfacing projects within PLU undertaking cabling works (HV and DC works). Develop the use of mechanisation, engage the market and develop solutions to improve efficiency and reduce number of staff on site. This workstream is currently in early feasibility phase and will be moving into concept design and procurement strategy development. The enabling works will be led by a Senior Project Manager, the team currently consists of four project managers, with teams of assistants and engineers. The enabling works forms part of the Infrastructure Sub-Programme within PLU which encompasses the majority of enabling works for the new trains and signalling system, track, DC Power, HV, platform humps, Cable Route, station mods and LV Power Projects, totalling over £1b.
Air Velocity Stations Civils and Cooling Works Project Manager
The Project Manager will be leading the Air Velocity (AV) Stations Civils Works and Station Cooling Project within the Piccadilly Line Upgrade (PLU).
A Project Manager is needed to lead the AV Civils & Cooling team who are delivering enabling works packages required in support of the Piccadilly Line Upgrade new trains and signalling system. This project manager will specifically be responsible for delivering modifications to the station envelope to counter increased air velocities induced by the new train speeds, modifications could include new cross passages, vent shafts and other modifications to increase the available volume of the station. As well as increased air flow induced by the new faster trains, platform cooling will also be required to counter increased temperatures. The cooling team will develop a new platform cooling solution for use across the Pic Line and secure space on the network for equipment and plantrooms. This workstream is currently in early feasibility phase and will be moving into concept design and procurement strategy development. The priorities will be review modelling conclusions, undertake site investigations to prove workable solutions and secure scope via business case.
Enabling Works Senior Project Manager
The Senior Project Manager will lead the Non-HV workstreams within the Piccadilly Line Upgrade (PLU) Infrastructure Sub-programme.
Responsible for approx. £200m of authorised spend and £50m of future unauthorised spend
Line Manage/Lead a team of four Project Managers and four Assistant Project Managers currently in place, to grow throughout the project life cycle
Projects within remit:
Stage 1 - Platform Humps, DC Power, LV Lighting Main Upgrade, Track, Stage 2 - DC Power, End State Track Layouts
All of the projects within the stage 1 authorised spend are enablers for Migration State 2 (first test train in engineering hours) and Migration State 3 (first test train in traffic hrs)
Stage 1 projects are typically within Concept or Detailed Design heading into procurement for delivery and are enablers for the new signalling system
Stage 2 projects are typically in feasibility
The enabling works forms part of the Infrastructure Sub-Programme within PLU which encompasses the majority of enabling works for the new trains and signalling system, track, DC Power, HV Power, platform humps, Cable Route, station mods and LV Power Projects, totalling over £1b. The Senior Project Manager will report to the Programme Delivery Manager who is responsible for the Infrastructure Sub-Programme.
