Job Summary
AECOM is seeking an experienced Rail Project Manager to join our York or Nottingham offices and lead projects across the Eastern Region.
The qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate an established career in the transportation infrastructure and rail industry and have a successful track record in delivery of multi-disciplinary projects.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Project Manager, you will be expected to work within a team to successfully manage and deliver capital investment projects. The objective of the position is to lead, pursue, develop and execute projects required to deliver client programs within established and agreed budgets and schedules.
This role involves providing project management support during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle. You will be familiar with working in large, geographically dispersed multidisciplinary design teams on projects at varying stages of development from feasibility to detailed design and construction. You will also be familiar with working on these projects within the design and consulting environment.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of your project.

Project management, including stakeholder, schedule, and contract and financial management.

Preparing and maintaining schedules, including dependencies and resources.

Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities.

Quality management processes for project activities and outputs.

Establishing and maintaining project governance reviews and implementation of suitable reporting tools for both external and internal stakeholders.

Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests.

Developing and managing strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional design team including external sub-contractors / sub-consultants.

Line management of small project management team

Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally.
Minimum Requirements

Degree qualification.
-
Experience of successfully delivering rail related UK infrastructure projects (ideally in the design and consultancy environment
-
Awareness and familiarity of Network Rail GRIP and PACE process.

Awareness and familiarity of working under NEC and Network Rail suite of contracts.

Proven ability to scope / estimate projects and lead and support tenders.

Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction.

Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role.
