We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join a major Rail client organization in London working on the New Highspeed Rail project specifically in relation to Slab Tracks, which will be a 350 million package of work. As the Project Manager you will be joining a live NEC Contract and will be responsible for the successful delivery of the contract to time, budget, scope and quality. You will also manage the conclusion of the procurement process, preparation for contract award and delivery. As the programme and scope of work changes, acting as the Project Manager youll be comfortable being adaptable managing the change, being mindful of the cost implications. - To undertake the duties of the Project Manager under an NEC3 contract.
- To support the monitoring of the change generated from both the Construction/Delivery teams is appropriately managed; including scope changes and cost changes that impact on the affordability of the project, escalating issues to the Senior Project / Head of Delivery as require
- To be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Railway Systems objectives outcomes.
- Interface with relevant Railway Systems stakeholders, for their particular project, as required
- To support the Senior Project Manager / Head of Delivery in identifying and ensuring that appropriate mitigating actions are implemented to address potential milestone slippages and escalating issues as required
Job Requirements
- NEC contract experience
- Experience of managing high value, complex projects.
- Experience of the project lifecycle
- Project management knowledge aligned to the level of APM Project Manager.
- Understanding of risk identification and management.
- Understanding of project schedule management, dependencies and risk assessment
- Experienced in managing supplier/subcontractor etc
