Project Manager - Belfast BT1
Responsibilities:
- Lead and ensure the successful delivery of individual commissions within set timelines and budgets.
- Manage all aspects of the commissions including quality, schedule, resources, variations, safety, and functionality.
- Provide clear vision and direction to the team, fostering a high-performing environment through effective management, development, and empowerment of staff.
- Conduct audits for each commission.
- Define technical and project deliverables, while identifying, analyzing, and mitigating project risks.
- Develop, manage, and track project plans and budgets, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with contractors and delivery partners to achieve intended business benefits.
- Negotiate, procure, and authorize project contracts, variations, and payments within approved authority levels.
- Implement effective performance and development management practices for direct reports.
- Collaborate with Project Sponsor/Contract Manager to align project requirements with business objectives.
- Identify and manage interfaces and dependencies between the project and other ongoing activities/projects.
- Develop and manage project implementation plans, including detailed schedules, cost, and resource plans.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, contributing to a safety-focused culture.
- Lead and provide successful management of projects/programmes to time/budget/quality to meet the needs of client customers.
- Ensure project delivery through successful management and partnership with principal suppliers.
- Experience with NEC contracts is essential, NEC accreditation is desirable.
- Experience in Rail, specifically in Northern Ireland, is desirable.
- Projects may have budgets of up to £20M.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally in complex infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
