We’re looking for a Project Planner for a 6-month contract role with Network Rail, working 3 days a week in office, and 2 days from home.

As a Project Planner, you will:

• Work across a portfolio of projects.
• Manage contractors’ programmes including baseline programmes. Work closely with contractor planners to ensure contractors programme submission is on time and as per NR expectation, challenge contractors programmes, bring PMs attention to programmes variances, key milestones, critical path, interfaces issues and provide an assessment of the impact of such issue. Develop recovery programmes and contingency plans in order to meet changed objectives.
• Manage interfaces between different parties, identify, monitor and review any risks and bring them to PMs attention.
• Manage integrated programmes including baseline programmes. Produce and maintain internal programmes in accordance with company standards, compliance and guidance. Bring PMs attention to programmes variances, key milestones, critical path, interfaces issues and provide an assessment of the impact of such issues. Develop recovery programmes and contingency plans in order to meet changed objectives.
• Evaluate and support change controls.

You will:

• Be available to start as soon as possible.
• Be an experienced P6 Planner.
• Have significant project experience.
• Have rail experience (desirable).
• Be a proactive team player.
• Be a competent MS Office user, particularly with Excel.
