Job Title: Project Planner

Are you an experienced Project Planner looking for a new challenge where you will be responsible for the planning and control of multi-discipline, national programmes to the value of £50m plus ? If so, this could be the role for you!

Our client is looking for a Project Planner to join the Transport side of the business – the successful candidate will ensure that the SCADA project’s programme is meeting the client’s and business’s objectives.

What will you be responsible for?

·You will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, processing, co-ordinating and reporting of the programme.

·You will be working with activity owners to gather progress data and update information

·As part of your role, you will ensure that suitable mechanisms are in place to collect the required information

·You will be updating the programme in Primavera P6 for issue to the client

·You will also ensure that all elements of the project’s programme are maintained and reviewed on a regular basis within the project team

·As the Project Planner, you will be assessing any impact on the overall programme, highlighting issues to the work stream owner and/or Project Director where necessary.

·There will be regular reporting against KPI’s (Internally and externally)

·You will be ensuring that all changes to the programme are correctly recorded.

What qualifications and behaviours are the client looking for?

·Management Successful Programmes (MSP) (desirable)

·Practical use of planning applications including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project

·Practical use of Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

·The succesful candiate will be a self-starter and highly organised.

·You will be able to work with little supervision and have the confidence in dealing with stakeholders at different levels.
