Project Planner

Crewe / Romford (flexibility to work out of either office + flexible working arrangement/remote)

6 months (vision to extend)

£301 /day LTD OR £350 /day UMB (in scope of IR35)

My client is a well-established Nationwide transportation company whose professionalism and well-respected name, have been instrumental in their success. They provide an exceptional service to their customers and are focused on continually improving this.

They are looking to grow this team due to an influx of work. The successful candidate will have strong previous experience of using Primavera P6 and have previous project planning experience within the rail industry

The Role will Involve:

  • Primavera P6 (essential)
  • Developing; maintaining and documenting appropriate plans and controls for the project/programme
  • Ensuring the appropriate governance disciplines are observed.
  • Reviewing project and supplier documentation and plans to highlight any issues.
  • Facilitating resolution of project issues and mitigation of project risks
  • Making a constructive contribution to project management processes
  • Making effective use of the departments Change Lifecycle; MSP Agile standard processes.
  • Produce project documentation e.g., plans.
  • Manage dependencies; assumptions and other controls Arrange; prepare materials for; facilitate; chair and document meetings.
  • Monitor and report on progress.
  • Define project resources including staff; contractors
  • Assure plans; project controls and progress reports
  • Manage QA processes
  • Demonstrate learnings achieved on the project

The Ideal Candidate has:

  • Track record of successful delivery in an equivalent role with equivalent level of responsibility in complex Projects
  • Working exposure to Change Lifecycle/Agile delivery methodology
  • Knowledge of industry standard methods and tools e.g. MSP Experience of working successfully with staff and representatives from business teams to deliver business change initiatives
  • Experience of working successfully in large; complex organisations.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills/experience
