Rail (Highspeed) Project Director - Latvia

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is supporting a leading European consultancy who are requiring an experienced Rail Project Director for an upcoming Construction Supervision project in Latvia.

Opportunity & Responsibilities:

The opportunity is to join a major Metro project, from the commencement of construction and lead its successful delivery. As head of an International team you shall be supported but both in country and offshore experts. The role will to be work on behalf of the end client.

Responsibilities:

As Project Director you shall have overall responsibility for leading a team to ensure the successful delivery of 200km of Highspeed Track. As this is a Supervision Contract the Design Has already been carried out yet part of duties shall be to help resolve any technical issues that arise while supervising both local and international contractors completing the work.

Typical requirements for the role:

• Masters Degree in Civil Engineering (or related subject)
• 15 years as project manager or construction/Consultant director and one object above 300meuro in infrastructure as project manager / Consultant director
• Previous Rail (Ideally highspeed) is essential.
• Good knowledge of FIDIC Contracts (having finished/ fulfilled at least 1 supervision project in the last 7 years)
• Completed a Supervision project with a Value of over €600million (ideally €1billion)
• Regional Experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Salary Package:

As this is an urgent Tender the budget for the position has not been defined hence it will be based on experience and expectations.
