Rail/ Metro Project Director - Egypt

The market leading infrastructure recruitment specialist is supporting a leading International consultancy who are requiring an experienced Rail Project Director to join their team in Egypt.

Opportunity & Responsibilities:

The opportunity is to join an existing team to aid its growth and development as well as a play a key role in the delivery of projects throughout North Africa.

Schemes currently underway and being targeted including Metro schemes, Highspeed and conventional Rail

Responsibilities:

As Project Director you shall have overriding responsibility for leading a team to ensure the successful delivery of schemes including Budget & Scheduling responsibilities. A major aspect of the role shall be to liaise with all stakeholders while ensuring your companies goals are met and standards are maintained.

Due to the nature the successful expert shall be supporting with the bidding & tendering of future works.

Typical requirements for the role:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
• 15+ years in railway or large infrastructure project
• Successfully delivered a rail or infrastructure project in the last 10 years
• Proven track record in project delivery of large infrastructure and or system works

Personal Attributes:

• Possess strong leadership skills with proven track record in establishing and managing an effective team.
• Proven track record in managing and coordinating various parties including design consultants, supervising consultants and work package contractors.
• Strong ability to drive the construction team, consultants and work contractors to deliver the project on time and within budget
• Excellent communicator
• People orientated
• Ability to establish and maintain close rapport with Boardroom, Employer and external stakeholders

Salary Package:

The salary on offer for this position is around $15-20,000 per month with a full package including Flights, transport, insurance, per diem.
