AECOM's transportation team currently has multiple vacancies in our Aecom Rail Team for Project Manager / Deputy Project Manager (s) with experience of working on Network Rail’s infrastructure, London Underground and metro / light rail networks. AECOM is currently expanding their already substantial rail engineering team in Birmingham / Nottingham following several major project wins.
The successful candidate will have solid post graduate experience. You will have proven project management experience of delivering rail projects throughout all phases of development, design, build and operation. You will have strong business development and client relationships skills, the ability to develop and manage the work of others, co-ordinating design, consultancy and survey inputs into a range of multi-disciplinary projects. You will also have the technical ability and knowledge and competence to guide and teach others and exhibit a strong safety culture.
Job Responsibilities:
Client liaison to support business development and work winning Opportunity capture planning Bidding and tender preparation and setting up the project;
Managing all risks including quality, environmental and health and safety
Managing quality and integrating quality into all aspects of the project.
Drafting Agreements and monitoring their execution
Appointing and managing sub consultants in accordance with company procedures
Establishing and implementing the Project Plan
Establishing and maintaining forecasts, costs and revenue budgets
Establishing and managing project team interfaces
All communications with Client representatives for the project
Producing, checking and verifying all deliverables
Implement safety tours
Managing and documenting all scope and fee changes and other variations
Implementing and monitoring the agreed staff development and internal communications program.
Timely reconciliation of WIP, invoicing and debt collection
Post project review and requesting Client feedback on project completion
Project closure.
Qualifications:

BSc, BEng or MEng degree in a relevant discipline

Chartered Engineer and member of a professional institution (or under a training agreement)

Not essential but certified project management qualification with a recognised project management institute such as APM or PMI would be an advantage
