Job Title: Rail Projects Manager - Passenger / Customer Engagement Projects

Salary: £30-50 an hour gross DOE
Job Description:
Working in a busy customer experience office you will be the main point of contact and driving force for all projects surrounding and concerning passenger engagement, experience and attraction. You will act as lead project manager for a number of agreed programmes and will act as a creative and directive force to identify opportunities for future projects and push these through the approvals and assurances stages. You will act as a Liaison / Stakeholder Manager for all projects within the department and have a strong background within community and stakeholder management.

You must have excellent organisation and stakeholder management skills and have a high regard for upholding safety standards within the workplace. You must have worked in a highly regulated industry and be familiar with handling approvals and assurances processes within the projects you are managing.

Ideal Background
It would be highly advantageous to have previous experience within the rail sector or within any other private or public transportation company with a keen passenger focus.
Outside of the rail sector candidates may come from similar industries with strong stakeholder & customer engagement elements; such as public organisations, local councils, charitable organisations and working groups.
Experience of managing projects from initial conception through to completion is essential. Ideally the successful individual will have experience of marketing / customer engagement projects. This will include a creative and innovative approach to project inception and start up, in particular being able to work with the Customer Experience team to identify opportunities for new projects and put forward business cases for new projects.
We are particularly interested in individuals with experience from any of the following roles; Marketing, PR, Project Management, Events Management, Community Engagement, Stakeholder Management, Franchise Management, Business / Policy Managers, Strategy Managers, Customer Service Managers and Passenger Experience Managers.

Education:
* Ideally degree qualified, but is not essential.
* Ideally a background working for a Rail company, Transportation Company or Public Body.
* Prince 2, APM or other formal Project Management qualifications are beneficial but not essential
* Ideally some significant experience managing customer focused projects. 5+ years with full projects controls covering end to end projects would be ideal, but is not essential.
