Our client is a well established Telecoms company whose professionalism and well respected name have been instrumental in their success.

Our client is looking for a Scada Software specialist with a project management background and rail experience to join their team in the Midlands.

What you will need:

• Experience of delivering software solutions into a railway environment
• Knowledge of SCADA principles
• Multi-discipline, national projects.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Strong and Proven Ability to work under pressure.
• Good client facing skills.
• Good understanding of a complex project programme
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership skills and experience.
• Working within an Agile (SCRUM) development
• Test Driven Development
• Experience in C, C++, C#, ASP.net,
• Degree / HND / HNC in Engineering / Computer related subject or equivalent in an appropriate discipline is desirable. Depth and breadth of experience will be taken into account where these qualifications have not been attained
• Prince 2 Practitioner or APMP (desirable)

The role:

• Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, Project Managers will be responsible for the management of software projects or bids, ensuring successful delivery
• Develop and manage a software team in delivery of SCADA solutions to achieve milestones and objectives
• Ownership of full development lifecycle of solutions, from requirement capture through to customer acceptance and ongoing support
• Support Business Development and provide Consultancy services to grow telent SCADA software portfolio
• Ensure processes and configuration management are updated in line with changing business needs
• Introduce innovative solutions and working methods (eg Agile development) in line with changing business needs
