Scheme Project Manager

Are you an experienced Scheme Project Manager who has worked on multi-billion-pound railway infrastructure renewals and enhancements projects?

Can you deliver projects, with particular emphasis on the management of suppliers and stakeholders?

They are currently looking for an experienced Scheme Project Manager who can operate as a full member of the team, supporting the Programme Director and other team members.

You will work with key stakeholders to manage the development of all aspects of the project assigned, to identify and mitigate potential risks and support on the development work of the design phase of the schemes.

The Role

• Working with Stakeholders to ensure Design, Delivery, Technical Build, Testing, MI requirements are managed and delivered.
• Completion of detailed plan for the medium-term including MSP, Resources, Costs.
• Working with the design team to secure stakeholder sign-off at all stages.
• Supporting with the preparation of joint plans, proposals and design and build documentation.
• Experience of governance and risk control frameworks.
• Possess strong analytical skills with a proven ability to persuade and influence others.
• Leading and producing period reporting.
• Managing supplier and designer progress meetings.
• Change control – feeding into the programme change process
• Develop safety processes and engage with suppliers, sharing and implementing good safety practice.
• Working closely with the commercial team to develop cost, assess change, and ensure contracts are managed and administered with full visibility to the PM.
• Have essential Rail experience and a good understanding of the GRIP stages, specifically stage 3 and the design and development processes
