Project Overview
Southern Region Professional Support Services Framework. The requirement is for the Scheme Project Manager to work within the existing Network Rail Track Development team.
Working for a multi-discipline consultancy of around 90 highly motivated staff, with a growing reputation for safe and efficient delivery within the railway and wider infrastructure sectors.
The company started out providing project management services but has developed market leading multi-discipline capabilities across all key project service groups.
In this role you will be working to deliver Rail projects with budget ranging from £250k to £50m+.
This opportunity will provide Project Management professionals with a structured, supported and dedicated pathway to both professional chartership and progression on to senior professional positions within the wider industry.
You will have the opportunity to work as part of a high performing team with exposure to both client and contractor facing organisations. As an individual you will be given a personalised PDP tailored to your needs, as well as receiving dedicated mentorship to help you continue to the next stage of development within the Project Management profession.
Requirements
Essential:
- Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Membership of working towards the Association of Project Management
- Achieved Prince2 Foundation or equivalent
- Good Stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Successful relevant experience including experience of contracting and project delivery.
- Knowledge and experience of project budget management
- Good evaluation and decision-making skills.
- Project safety management and Health and Safety legislation knowledge
- Knowledge of safety cases in support of projects
Desirable:
- Experience in the rail industry sector including application of GRIP, and construction design management (CDM) on simple projects
- Knowledge of rail industry’s project, investment, commercial and procurement practices
- Experience in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
- Flexible and pro-active approach
- Knowledge of rail industry assets and how they are managed.
