Senior Project Controls Manager – North – c£53,000 – FTC/2021

One of my transport clients are seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to assist in developing and maintaining a comprehensive framework of methodologies and procedures designed to facilitate the delivery of their programme of work.

Start – ASAP

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead development of integrated and detailed schedules using Primavera P6 planning software to provide critical path analysis and scenario planning and identifying who’s responsible for delivering work
• Capturing the Programme Manager’s requirements to develop method and processes to assist deliver project
• Establish/maintain time-phased budget baseline against which projects can be approved and performance measured
• Write detailed technical reports and ‘user-friendly’ guidelines regarding the use of methodology, processes and procedures as well as provide monthly progress update schedules and reports
• Ensure project control processes are in line with best practices and industry standards
• Provide schedule commentary document for gateway review submission
• Employ an attitude of continuous improvement and work with the Risk Manager to identify and monitor risks and issues and develop any necessary contingencies

Requirements:

• Degree in relevant subject or the equivalent experience
• Expert experience effectively using Primavera (P6)
• Demonstrable experience of leading large and complex projects and multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience working in highly regulated environments (e.g. transport bodies, government bodies, council) - the programme is focused on integrated and smart ticketing, so experience with similar environments (e.g. retail payments) is ideal
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders
• Proven financial management skills and commercial acumen
