We are currently dealing with a client organization who are looking at recruiting a Senior Project Control Manager in London working on the new Highspeed Rail project, working on major packages of work.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on high value project which you will coordinate and support the development of the project baseline across scope, time, cost, risk and quality for a development or delivery area of the project programme, providing strategic insight and analysis of performance against the baseline and highlighting any trends or risks to support decision making. As mentioned, this position is based in London operating a hybrid basis working on Europes largest infrastructure project, so could suit candidates in the surrounding areas such as Kent, Surrey, or Hertfordshire. Typical job duties of the Senior Project Controls Manager can include, not limited to:
- To be accountable for managing risks for a development or delivery area of the project programme
- To be responsible for managing and coordinating project controls activities within the supply chain, for projects or contract to assure the accuracy and quality of cost, risk and schedule information being captured
- To be responsible for reviewing supply chain programme submissions and updating client schedules
- To be responsible for managing and co-ordinating the change management process, ensuring impacts to the baseline are effectively assessed and managed.
- To be responsible for managing the assurance of Project Controls Data and for ensuring adherence with Project Management Office (PMO) and Project Controls policies, processes and standards for a development or delivery area of the project Programme
- Supporting for the baseline management and performance management updates, including the integration of high value contracts
Job Requirements
- Experience in project controls on major projects/programmes including the management of multi-discipline project controls teams.
- Knowledge of various core Project Controls disciplines such as, Schedule Management, Cost Management, Change Management, Planning and Risk Management.
- Knowledge of the Project and Commercial Management principles including understanding of cost delivery, schedule targets
- Experienced in Earned Value
- Experienced in the management and control of key Project Controls systems
